There is absolutely no truth.

Currently, there are agreements between people, and there is some progressing insight by the intellectuals, but there is 100% sure no truth known by mankind.

There is truth out there however. We are just too blind and/or stupid to see it. When mankind has learned to get rid of his ancient instincts that are blocking the other 70% of his brains, then we will see some truthfulness coming into our lives. By then, religion will lose even more of it’s importance and it will disappear completely.

Or we take the red pill to speed things up a little…

i love when people say that science is absolute (or, the truth). science approaches the truth, just like calculus approaches infinity.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lie#Paradoxes_about_lying

Within any scenario where dualistic (e.g., yes/no, black/white) answers are always given, a person who we know is consistently lying would paradoxically be a source of truth. There are many such paradoxes, the most famous being known as the liar paradox, commonly expressed as \"This sentence is a lie\", or \"This sentence is false\". The so-called Epimenides paradox (\"All Cretans are liars\", as stated by Epimenides the Cretan) is a forerunner of this, though its status as a paradox is disputed. A class of related logic puzzles are known as knights and knaves, in which the goal is to determine who of a group of people is lying and who is telling the truth.[/quote:1k6wok9u]

who is telling the truth and who is lying?

agh a riddle!

there are actually two possibilities:
One tells the truth and one lies or both lie. (It isn’t possible that both tell the truth because in that case it would have been the answer).
So, if one of them explains this setup to you, you can only be sure of one thing: The other one lies. The way to solve this riddle is therefore to ask the other one and do the opposite of what he said to do.

either that or our civilization as we know it will destroy us, we’re not following the evolutionary law – the law of limited competition:

And if a species decides to disregard the law then they become extinct.[/quote:25h27xy9]

And this could happen through the collapse of the economy:

Ecological collapse happens because we are forced to bring more and more natural resources into the money economy and make it grow exponentially, following the pathological growth of the money system.[/quote:25h27xy9]

Although the economy totally collapsing could end up being a good thing. :!:
