Additional Information

This press release came with the I Of The Mourning UK cardsleeve promo, DPRO14998. Note that they’ve spelled “Mourning” as “Morning” in the title and in the text. Also promoted is a Richard Ashcroft single in the same press release. The full translation is:

Dear media partner,

“Money to burn” is the follow-up single of the successful start with “A Song For The Lovers”, which entered the charts for some weeks and gave a nice foretaste of the upcoming Richard Ashcroft´s album release. Another song that shows Ashcrofts talent for ingenious songwriting and scent for melodies. A passionate pleading for life (and love, not to forget)!

Recently it becomes truth that The Smashing Pumpkins were dissolved, with “I Of The Morning” there comes their bequest. It containes the invitation, “ …Radio/play my favourite song/radio/radio/radio/ I´m alone/radio/radio/please don´t go….”

Billy Corgan is undisputed one of the most iridescent people of the music business and did achieve phenomenal in his 13 years musical career, he impressed a genre and made himself a name as “Pop Terrorist” (Der Spiegel, which is a highly critical and consolidated German print magazine for politics, business and culture). Now it´s over, without a big bang, the pencils are sharpened and “I Of The Morning” could be a farewell.

“…radio/play my favourite song…”

Greetings from Munich
