Additional Information

Info from the seller on eBay:

“Very very rare. CD is in very good condition, and very clean. This is an original first pressing on Caroline Records. This CD was signed by the band in Miwaukee WI. at Atomic Records while on tour in 1991 opening with Gish. Codes: UPC 0 1704-61705-2 9 CAROL 1705-2. One-of-a-kind Smashing Pumpkins collectible.

This CD was signed with a Silver Sharpie by the Smashing Pumpkins band members for (me) Ric Laciak at Atomic Records in Milwaukee 1991: The Smashing Pumpkins were in town promoting Gish at WMSE Radio 91.7FM and opened for The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Pearl Jam at The Eagles Ballroom in Milwaukee Wisconsin.

Billy Corgan – signed: ‘1991 Billy Corgan Pinwheel Pinyata’ on page 2 (inside CD cover) near “buggsuperstar” photo. James Iha – signed his initials over his face on page 4 (rear CD cover) and outlined his face on front and back cover, and added his artwork to the front cover, page 1. D’Arcy – signed ‘Bugg is my dog. Love D’Arcy’ near her picture on page 4 (rear CD cover). Jimmy Chamberlin – signed over his image on the front cover, (page 1).

My Interesting Smashing Pumpkins story:

I got to hang out with the band while they were at Atomic Records in Milwaukee 1991, and talked with Billy and D’Arcy – they were very interesting and down-to-earth. Later that evening, while I was putting some WMSE Show Fliers on cars parked outside and around The Eagles Ballroom with a friend, Mr. Billy Corgan called out to me, he shouted “Hey Ric!” all while he and the band walked into the concert hall, gear in hand. He invited us into the show. I was so stupid and told Billy that I was so sorry, and could not go, because I had to study for my finals the next day… oh I do regret not going. Stay in school kids? My eye! A few years later, and a few million records sales later, Billy was in Milwaukee again at a record signing at Exclusive Company Records – I did not attend, but my sister did. She told Billy that story, and he seemed to remember me! What a great guy, remembering the little people… as I was one of the original DJ’s that played the hell out of “Tristessa”. Hope you enjoyed my story.”
