The Smashing Pumpkins are definitely back in force. To celebrate the return of their drummer, Jimmy Chamberlin, and to prove to the fans their determination to return to the sound that made them famous, the Smashing Pumpkins have just ended an American tour (The Arising Tour) consisting of 9 shows held between April 10th and April 24th, 1999 in clubs from New York to LA while visiting Pittsburg.
A representation of this return to their original sound is included on this video, featuring I Am One, which is a song that was recorded live during the concert in Detroit and which is part of the Gish era, the very first album of the Smashing Pumpkins.
