"Hello, this is Mark Goodier, welcome to In Concert. Today we have a quite stunning American band who've really made an impact over the last few months: The Smashing Pumpkins. This Chicago based band is lead by the extremely talented Billy Corgan, who writes the songs, sings and plays guitar. Journalists and musicfans alike have become hooked on the strength of the group's songs on their album called Siamese Dream. And as you'll hear, the live performance lives up to the promise of their recorded material. We recorded them in Manchester as part of their recent UK tour.
